A successful 2019 TMC Spring Meeting in Atlanta wrapped up on 03.21.19 and as always, Cengage was well represented. A final proof version of the TMC PMI guidelines was made available to the Education Committee just as the Monday morning meeting launched. Two years in the making, the proof booklet for perusal. It is expected that a final version will be available for the Fall meeting to be held in Raleigh.

Of note in the Tech Sessions, there was an interesting presentation on how ultrasonic sensors have advanced since their introduction in MY2010. Initially used just as onboard DEF quality monitors, today ultrasonic sensors are being adopted by OEMs to monitor lube oil viscosity and monitor fluid levels of all vehicle systems.

In the Exhibition hall, of note was the introduction of all-electric drivetrain systems. Lion Electric had a Class 8 truck on display, and Dana and Eaton showcased their electric drivetrain components that included 3-, 6-, and 9-phase inverter-traction motor systems.
